At the University I had the chance to take a course at the chair of Hasso Plattner, where we build a new composite application on top of the existing services for the SAP business suite. To show my colleagues at this course how easy it is to consume these services with a mixture of Java and Ruby, I produced a screen cast that goes from consuming the Web Service using a downloaded WSDL, over installing JRuby, Rails and to write a small controller, that does some fancy Ajax request to fetch the requested Materials. And everything in under 25 minutes
